Yorkshires

Yorkshires were added to the Stein & Stewart Genetics herd in the fall of 2002. The females were acquired from another high health herd with the emphasis on production both in the farrowing house and the feed floor.

Since the infusion of a limited number of gilts, we have used the top production sires in the breed to make yorks that excel in performance while retaining correct phenotype of heaviness of structure, base width, and feet and leg soundness.
