This offering of bred gilts represents registered Duroc gilt bred to farrow in mid Jan to early Feb 2008.
This is the deepest set ever.

Gilts have various opening bids and if any do not receive that opening bid, we will retain and farrow them in our herd.

Procedure for Private Treaty/Telephone Auction Internet Sale

1. All interested potential buyers must register to bid by providing us with their Name, Address and Telephone Numbers.  This information can be provided to us by either calling or emailing us.
    

2. Bids may be placed at any time from now up until 1:00 P.M. CST on Thursday, December 13. Bids may be placed by contacting us by phone or email.
    

3.  At 1:00 P.M. CST on Thursday, December 13 bids will close.  At this time, we will begin calling people who have bid on gilts. If you have bid on a gilt, but someone else has made a higher bid on that same gilt since the time you placed your bid, you will receive a call from us asking if you would like to raise your bid. If you choose not to raise your bid on that particular gilt you will then have the opportunity to place a bid on another gilt that may be within your budget. This will continue until all the gilts are sold.  Bids will increase in $50 increments up to $1000, after that bidding increments will be $100.
    

4. Please make sure you provide us with phone numbers where we may reach you during the afternoon and evening of  Thursday, December 13. Please be patient during this process as it will take some time to contact all bidders.  We will do it as timely as possible.
    

5. Cooperative delivery will be available.

With each bred female we GUARANTEE a minimum of eight pigs born alive.  If a litter is born and this minimum is not met you will receive credit towards future purchases of breeding stock, showpigs, or semen.  Here is how the amount of credit is determined: the bred female is valued at 60% of the purchase price and the litter she is carrying as 40%. So, if you purchase a female for $1000, and she has 6 pigs born alive, the amount of credit is $100.
